Where do hotels get their little pieces abstract art?
My friend is really good (in my opinion) at painting abstract art but she doesn't know where to sell them. I saw some really crappy pieces at the palasio in las vegas a while ago and thought it would be a good idea to at least look into it.
There are wholesale art companies that specialize in selling framed art in huge lots for use in hotels, large office buildings, etc. Lots of the original art they use is imported from Asia, where there are big factories where artists churn out piece after piece and are paid either hourly wages or by the piece. And other pieces are prints from discount suppliers. It's basically a way for businesses that require lots of wall decor to buy it on the cheap.
